Sylvia M. Mahaffey

SYLVIA MAHAFFEY, a partner in Shaw Pittman’s corporate and securities group, concentrates her practice in corporate and securities matters for both established and newly formed enterprises, and for brokers and investors. In recent years, Mahaffey has been extensively involved in representing issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings by REITs, technology companies and partnerships, and in mergers, acquisitions, and sales of assets and businesses.

Mahaffey earned her A.B. from Bryn Mawr College and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Texas.
