Archstone-Smith (NYSE: ASN) was honored by the National Association of Home Builders as the 2006 Property Management Company of the Year.

BRE Properties (NYSE: BRE) announced John Wayland's promotion to divisional vice president of development. Previously, Wayland had worked as development director at BRE.

Michael McCook resigned as senior investment officer for real estate for the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS).

C. Reynolds Thompson, III was promoted to chief executive officer for Colonial Properties (NYSE: CLP). Previously, Thompson served as chief operating officer. Former CEO and President Thomas H. Lowder will continue to serve as chairman of Colonial's board. Weston M. Andress, the former chief financial and investment officer, is now president and chief financial officer.

Thierry Perrein has joined the real estate finance & securitization group at Credit Suisse Securities LLC as managing director.

Michael C. Hughes is the new vice president, finance for FelCor Lodging Trust Incorporated (NYSE: FCH). Previously, Hughes worked as vice president of corporate finance with Wyndham International. Former senior vice president at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Inc., Daniel A. Jorns joined FelCor as vice president of asset management. FelCor also announced the retirement of Richard O. Jacobson and Michael D. Rose from its board of directors.

Mark E. Yale, former senior vice president and chief financial officer with Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT), has been appointed executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

Christopher Bennett, former senior vice president and general counsel at Interstate Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: IHR) has been appointed executive vice president and general counsel for the company.

Andrew Duffy, formerly a managing director for TIAA-CREF, joined Hunter Global Investors as a portfolio manager.

Dennis M. Craven is the new chief financial officer at Innkeepers USA Trust (NYSE: KPA), replacing Bruce Riggins.

Richard Nadeau is the new executive vice president for finance and accounting at The Mills Corporation (NYSE: MLS).

Reckson Associates Realty Corp. (NYSE: RA) announced several management changes in April. Michael Maturo is the company's new president, in addition to his role as chief financial officer and treasurer. Jason Barnett has been appointed senior executive vice president, corporate initiatives, complementing his current role as general counsel and secretary. Corporate Senior Vice President of Investments Richard Conniff will now also serve as chairman of the investment committee. Todd Rechler, corporate senior vice president and managing director, New Jersey, will also serve as co-chairman of the development committee, along with fellow appointee Matthew Frank.

Stephen Green, chairman and founder of SL Green Realty Corp., (NYSE: SLG), received Real Estate Finance & Investment's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Steven G. Osgood resigned from his position as president and chief financial officer of U-Store-It Trust (NYSE: YSI). Vice President and Treasurer Tedd D. Towsley will serve as interim chief financial officer. Dean Jernigan, former chairman and CEO at Storage USA, has been named president and CEO.

Jamie Feldman joined UBS (NYSE: UBS) as its analyst covering the office sector. Also joining UBS to cover the multifamily sector is Alex Goldfarb, formerly of Lehman Brothers.

Jeff Gilder was promoted to the newly created position of managing director, capital markets at Wells Real Estate Funds. Spencer Patton and Keith Willby were named senior vice president, acquisitions in the Midwest and South regions, respectively.
